How to check the correctness of the site transfer before the DNS change

We recommend checking the integrity of a site transfer via HOSTS file.

HOSTS file is located on /etc/hosts on Linux OSes and in C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts on many Windows OSes.

Please open HOSTS file by ane text editor as an Administrator and add:

IP_of_your_VPS your_domain www.your_domain

For example:

5.35.103.200 site.com www.site.com

Now you can open site.com from IP 5.35.103.200 on your PC without changing any DNS.
